Quick Word App Reviews
flawless
I love this app!! highly recommended
needs to read more formats
this app needs to be able to open apple works .cwk documents.
It has such great potential but the current software has some bugs, the most annoying one is that seems to have some difficultly saving documents. Which is a major issue for me because I dont want to worry about a document not being saved. If they fixed that issue it would be near perfect.
Paid $20 because I had a .docx file that I just wanted to view (wasnt even trying to save anything). The formatting, images, tables, etc. were all unreadable (images werent even there). It looked exactly the same as it does in TextEdit which is included with the OS for free. I guess Ill just continue to view the file and edit it in Google Docs where it works perfectly for free...
Not for pictures.
It is fine for text but not if you want to add images.
Needs repairing
I just bought this and noticed some bugs… not good. Please fix this asap.
I purchased this app because i wanted something to type papers on but turns out this app doesnt even have a button to center the title or anything. Thats my only issue. Please fix. Okay? thanks (:
Not sure what the problems about the photos into Quick Word but it works and yes there is "Image" icon on the top! But anyway, I love it and it works just great and did save them to my file with no problems so far! This is what I was looking for, very simple with Rich text!! But one u could have change the prices from $19.99 to $9.99! Cuz it is very simple and do not have preferences cuz everything are there as well as menu, that is why I was thinking abt that prices need to be drop down to $9.99! I would highly recommended for anyone for this! Everything is great! Thanks!! :)
Dont Buy!!!
This application is HORRIBLE! Its not even as good as pages or word. There arent any refunds. Its a waste of money.
This application is very simple but yet full featured! Easier to use than most word processors. Very easy to export into many different file formats and share with others. The auto save feature has saved me many times!!
Prior to the July update I would have given this APP 5 stars. Its everything youd want in a simple word processor without a lot of fancy gimmicks and confusing menus. BUT, their latest update in July of 2013 has pretty much discouraged my use of the product. Heres why! You cant print from the APP. Yes, thats correct, you cannot print. Contacting the software vendor the workaround, are you ready, they are aware of not being able to print and recommend exporting and/or copy/pasting into another word processor or functional equivalent. Ok, its an inexpensive product, hard to grumble too much, but its a good product and almost seems silly that you cant print and its taking so long to correct.
I bought this app to day to do my assignment. im trying to put table with the context on the page. After I saved it, it ruined my work. It didnt come out as the way its show or we saw it. It cutted out at anyway it wants to. I dont recommended this app to anyone!
Leanness and simplicity
Quick word is a lean and simple software that does a perfect job for editing.
simple approach with plenty of power
No doubt this app is what it calls itself "quick".
Im surprised how straightforward this app is. If you are a person who doesnt feel like investing a lot of time studying every time you try a new software, this is for you.
Good with long files
Ive just loaded a very large file that has hundreds of pages and countless pictures in it and it seems to be working fine.
productivity
quick word is a great tool to boost your productivity and creative output by not letting those great thoughts and ideas just slip away.
Well-oiled machine
For those who need a smooth word processor to dance with, quick word might be a good choice.
If all you need is a functional text editor thats compatible with MS word, I would recommend this app to you. However if you are looking for a fancy software that gives you artistic formats and fonts, look elsewhere.
Im a writer, and Ive always used Microsoft Word on my PC Laptop to write. Then, we bought this big new iMac, and I needed a word processing program that would be compatible with Word on my PC. Im really impressed with this program, especially at a cost of $9.99. Here are a few bugs that Ive discovered and been unable to resolve. If I embed a hyperlink into my document, save the document, and close the document, when I reopen the document, the hyperlink is gone. The URL is still there. But, it is no longer linked to the internet. Under the "View" heading, there is a submenu titled "Get Info." Ive tried to use it on three separate occasions. All three times it locked the computer up and I had to Force Quit the program. If you incorporate bullet points, or any kind of list, using this program, it will not transfer over to Microsoft Word correctly. You will need to fix the formatting. Its easy to do, but its still an extra step. I wish they had included a help guide or manual with the program. All in all, Im pretty happy. Its easier to use than Microsoft Word. What Ive been doing is write my articles on this program, then moving them over to Word (on the PC) to clean up any formatting issues.
