Quick and functional word processor
I’ve been using this word processor for a day or two. So far, it’s a solid app that’s good for writing a quick doc. It’s a bit more bare-bones than Microsoft Word, Pages, or even Open Office, but it has all the necessities: tables, bulleted lists, undo/redo, works with .DOC files, header/footer, etc. Since it’s not filled with extra features, it is very fast to start up, unlike most other Word Processors. Its a bit like a better verison of Mac OS X TextEdit, but more word processor than text editor.
One very minor (but odd) quirk: it has no keyboard shortcut (e.g. Cmd+S) for saving, just the Save button and Cmd+Shift+S for Save As. Also, the save button behavior is odd, since it always asks me if I want to overwrite the current file (which, 99% of the time, I do).
Contrary to another review I just read, Quick Word does, in fact, have a full screen mode (under the View menu).
